Susan Hoag
REALTOR®
A native of Texas who was born and raised in Dallas, it didn’t take long for me to fall in love with Nashville when my husband and I moved here to be closer to our four adult children. Lovers of great food, friendly people, strong community, and fantastic music, we quickly and easily made a home here in Music City, and now I find great joy helping other people do exactly the same.
Growing up with a father in real estate, a mother who was always designing or building, and a grandfather who had a long career as a homebuilder, my choice to study interior design at Abilene Christian University surprised no one — and my more recent decision to pursue a career as a REALTOR® was a similarly natural fit. Having spent the last 25 years heavily involved in various real estate projects with my husband Brandon, I finally made the commitment to turn my passion into my profession when our kids left the nest three years ago. Brandon and I bought our first property together in 1995, and have bought and sold more than a dozen homes since, allowing me to collect a wealth of knowledge about every aspect of the business. From building a home from the ground up, to expertly preparing a home for sale, I offer a unique and well-rounded set of skills in my role as a REALTOR®.
Of course, my experiences have also taught me that there’s more than just know-how when it comes to being a successful REALTOR®. Because of that, I focus more on creating connections with people than I do on closing a deal. I am often described as the kind of person who has never met a stranger. I truly value forming strong and lasting relationships, and truly enjoy taking the time to listen, understand, and find a solution that meets every client right where they are.
Although Nashville’s exciting and fast-paced market can be intimidating to both buyers and sellers, my 25+ years of experience in buying, selling, designing, building and remodeling gives the most robust guidance possible to each and every client. My holistic understanding of the market and the industry make my job as a REALTOR® exciting and rewarding, and I hope to make the buying or selling process similarly positive for you.
With three of our four children enrolled in college here in Nashville (and the fourth not far away in Savannah, GA), our whole family feels right at home here in Music City. Brandon and I are the proud parents to four children: a 20-year-old son, and 22-year old triplet daughters. One of our daughters was diagnosed at age 14 with Type 1 diabetes, and because of that, we have become avid supporters of JDRF and the important work they do to find a cure for Type 1 diabetes for generations to come. In addition, another of our daughters has special needs, and have loved watching her live life more and more independently thru the incredible programs available to her here in Nashville.
Outside of work, I’m a huge foodie who loves to cook and explore Nashville’s fantastic restaurant scene, and have also become a major fan of the Nashville Predators and our newest addition Nashville SC. I’m happiest when surrounded by my family, my three lovable dogs, and any of the people I love (that’s a lot!).
“My husband and I were so overwhelmed by the Nashville real estate market and were afraid we wouldn’t be able to afford anything we wanted — particularly with the crazy bidding wars we’d heard about from others. Susan squashed all our worries and led us through the process, from touring what seemed like billions of houses, to negotiating a better offer. Ultimately, we were able to find and buy the house we’d always dreamed of. We couldn’t recommend her enough!”

“Susan is quite possibly one of the kindest, most caring, and hardest working individuals I know. She carries her compassion and tenacity into her work and delivers the highest quality customer service. I worked with Susan on behalf of my parents, who live out of the state, and we could not have asked for a better experience. She diligently listened to their desires for a home, did her research, and gave them excellent options. But more importantly, she put herself into their shoes and offered insightful recommendations about location, style, potential builders, and pricing. Her passion for developing and sustaining relationships is refreshing and ultimately the reason why we will never use anyone else to buy a house in the Nashville area!”

“When I moved to Nashville from Louisiana in early 2019, I was overwhelmed by how many neighborhoods Nashville seemed to have and didn’t know which one would suit me best. Susan offered me such great advice and insight as to the areas that piqued my interest, and eventually helped me find a great place in East Nashville. She was mindful of my budget and patient with my pickiness, and eventually we found the perfect home that didn’t break the bank! I couldn’t be happier with her services.”
